The Tripat Kavach — the triple protection — is a concept deeply rooted in Vedic ritual: the three sacred fires (Tretnagni), the three sacred syllables (Om Tat Sat), and the three-fold mantra invocation that seals all three planes of existence — physical, subtle, and causal. This bracelet embodies that principle through three distinct stone families, each providing a different layer of the complete protection matrix. The first shield: Tiger's Eye — called Vagh Netra in Sanskrit folk tradition, carrying the golden solar gaze of Surya and the focused hunting intelligence of the tiger-as-Durga vehicle.

Modern gemological research confirms its fibrous silk-channel structure creates the chatoyancy (cat's eye effect) that visually embodies the "evil eye protection" metaphor. In Vedic tradition, gold and saffron tones are Surya's colours, and Tiger's Eye's golden-brown hue carries His protective, authority-conferring energy. The second shield: Hematite — the iron mirror of Shani Deva, the planet of karma and cosmic justice.

Pure iron oxide in its crystalline form, Hematite creates a literal iron armour around the wearer's magnetic field. The Lal Kitab (the folk Jyotiṣa text of Punjab) describes iron as Shani's metal and prescribes it as the primary Shani upaya: "Iron worn at all times creates a bridge between the devotee and Shani Maharaj, transforming his punishing gaze into a protecting one."  The third shield: Athmas Black Stone (Black Onyx) — the stone of Kaal Bhairav and Rahu, absorbing all incoming negativity into its dense black matrix and transmuting it harmlessly. The Athmas stone specifically refers to the black translucent onyx used in tantric kavach traditions of South India, particularly in the Bhairav and Kali lineages.
